Corrections
If we got something wrong
We publish facts about real businesses, and we take that seriously. If anything on Conscious is inaccurate, outdated, or missing context (whether you're a reader, an employee, or the owner of a company we've rated), we want to hear it.
How to flag something
Two ways, whichever is easier:
Every company page has a “Let us know” link: pick what's incorrect, tell us what's wrong and what it should say, and include your email if you want to hear back.
Write hello@imconscious.app with the company page in question, the specific claim you believe is wrong or outdated, and any source you can point us to (helpful, not required).
You don't need an account, and company owners don't need a lawyer. A plain flag or email is enough.
What happens next
- Within 2 business days, we'll confirm we received it, as long as we have a way to reach you. Flags submitted without an email are still investigated on the same timeline; we just can't write back.
- Within 14 days, we'll re-research the claim using the same process as the original entry and tell you the outcome. Complex cases can take longer; if so, we'll say so and give a date.
- If we were wrong, we correct the page promptly and note the correction with a date. If the error changed a score or a verdict, the score or verdict changes too: corrections aren't cosmetic.
- If we stand by the claim, we'll explain why and show the sources.
How corrections appear
Corrected profiles carry a dated note describing what changed (e.g., “Corrected March 2026: an earlier version described a settled lawsuit as a finding of liability.”). We don't silently edit substantive claims. Trivial fixes (typos, formatting) are made without a note.
Disputes from rated companies
If you own or represent a company on Conscious and believe your verdict is unfair (not just factually wrong, but wrongly weighed), we'll still hear you out. We may not change the verdict, because verdicts are our opinion, but we will correct any fact you show to be wrong, and we may publish the exchange (with your permission) so readers can judge for themselves.
Every claim on this site is only as good as its sources, and we'd rather be corrected than be wrong in public. This policy is permanent and applies to every page.
