Terms of Service
Last updated July 5, 2026. Using Conscious means you agree to these terms: here they are in plain English.
What Conscious is
Conscious is a research-based tool that rates companies on their business practices: who owns them, how they treat workers, how they expand, and what their supply chains look like.
Our scores and assessments reflect our editorial opinion, based on publicly available information at the time of research. We are not affiliated with any company we rate.
What our scores are not
Scores are not legal determinations, financial advice, or investment recommendations. They are opinions.
We make no guarantees of accuracy. Information changes (companies get bought, close, raise money, and settle lawsuits) and our research may contain errors. Nothing on this site should be used as the sole basis for any business or purchasing decision.
Your obligations
You must be 13 or older to create an account.
Don't scrape, copy, or reproduce our ratings or content without permission.
Don't use the site for any unlawful purpose.
Liability
Conscious is provided as-is.
We are not liable for decisions made based on information on this site, and we are not liable for inaccuracies in scores or research. If a score matters to a decision you're making, verify the underlying facts yourself: our citations on each company page are the place to start.
If Conscious changes or closes
If Conscious shuts down, users will receive 30 days' email notice and may request a copy of their data before it is permanently deleted. The details live in our Privacy Policy.
Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New York, and any disputes will be handled in New York.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
